As with the progression for players from teeball through to baseball, scorers also go from simple modified scoring for teeball through to the detailed recording of every single play required for baseball. While the rules of the game change throughout these variations of the sport the fundamentals of scoring remain the same.
Much respect is given to scorers in the game of baseball. After the completion of every game in juniors and seniors each team congratulates each other and in almost all situations reserves a small applause for the scorers of the game. The scorers’ job is as important as any other participant in the game.
Baseball NSW advised us that they are running one last Level 3 Coaching Course before the end of the year.
Information regarding the coaching course can be found on the Baseball NSW website.
Thank you to those members of our community that gave generously at the previous fundraising event at Bonnet Bay by purchasing tickets in the CSJBA's Fundraising Raffle to assist Riley Barrington while he takes time off work to battle cancer. Riley's contribution to Club and Representative Baseball has been enormous as has his contribution to Umpiring which, has been recognised at the highest levels.
Together, we have raised close to $3,000 and with your help, we are targeting $5,000. Tickets in the Raffle can still be purchased online at www.csjba.baseball.com.au with 25 prizes with a combined value of over $1,600 to be drawn 8pm Tuesday 12 December at CSJBA Delegates Meeting.
There are a number of coaching courses coming up in Sydney. A great opportunity to get accredited!
